Vélez-Málaga Announces Concert Lineup for Feria de San Miguel 2026
Vélez-Málaga has presented the concert lineup for the Real Feria de San Miguel 2026, featuring artists such as Camela and Cali y El Dandee in late September.
The regional capital of the Axarquía is gearing up for one of its most anticipated celebrations of the year. Vélez-Málaga has officially presented the musical programme for the Real Feria de San Miguel 2026, bringing together an eclectic mix of pop, traditional flamenco rhythms, and contemporary Latin sounds scheduled for late September.
Alongside the concert announcement, municipal organisers unveiled the official festival artwork designed by artist Begoña Martín, marking the final countdown to the grand autumn fair.
A Diverse Lineup of Headline Acts
The 2026 edition promises a broad musical spectrum designed to appeal across generations. Headlining the main stage are techno-rumba legends Camela, whose enduring popularity guarantees high energy and packed crowds. Adding an international dimension to the festivities, Colombian pop duo Cali y El Dandee will bring their chart-topping urban and dance-pop hits to the fairgrounds.
Traditional Andalusian music and folklore remain at the heart of the San Miguel celebrations. Beloved folk artist María del Monte is set to deliver an evening steeped in classic copla and sevillanas, joined on the roster by traditional group Requiebros. Completing the announced acts is Salistre, adding modern acoustic flamenco-pop vibes to the festival evenings.
Experiencing the Fair from Nerja
For travellers based in Nerja, the Real Feria de San Miguel provides a wonderful opportunity to experience a large-scale, authentic Andalusian town festival just a short journey to the west. While Nerja has its own festive traditions, Vélez-Málaga functions as the historic and administrative heart of the Axarquía, and its annual San Miguel fair is celebrated with immense local passion.
Visitors can typically divide their day between the daytime festivities in the historic town centre—where tapas, music, and traditional attire fill the plazas—and the evening fairgrounds, where live concerts, fair attractions, and dining marquees (casetas) continue late into the night.
Reaching Vélez-Málaga from Nerja is straightforward via the A-7 motorway, taking roughly twenty minutes by car or taxi. Regular regional bus services connect Nerja's central bus station with Vélez-Málaga throughout the day, though visitors planning to stay late into the night for the headline concerts should check late return schedules or arrange private transport in advance.
