New direct flights from Scandinavia to Málaga
More flights from Stockholm, Copenhagen and Oslo make Nerja easier than ever to reach — here's how to pick the smartest transfer from the airport.
Costa del Sol is strengthening its Nordic connections. Both SAS and Norwegian are expanding their schedules to Málaga–Costa del Sol Airport (AGP) for the summer season, with more departures from Stockholm, Copenhagen and Oslo. Ryanair and Vueling have also added frequencies from several regional airports in Sweden, Norway and Finland.
For travellers heading to Nerja, this means more options and shorter waits at the airport. The transfer from AGP to Nerja takes around 60–75 minutes by car or by direct bus from Málaga's Estación de Autobuses. Car-rental desks are located in a separate terminal reached by a shuttle bus from the arrivals hall.
The new frequencies also make it easier to combine a weekend trip with a few extra days. Low-season fares between November and March remain affordable, while July and August are noticeably pricier and are best booked several months in advance.
Good to know - The direct ALSA bus between Málaga and Nerja runs several times a day and takes about 75 minutes. - A taxi from the airport to Nerja costs around €90–110. - Don't forget to enable roaming or buy an eSIM before landing.
