Feria de Nerja 2026 — dates announced

Flamenco, parade horses, casetas and fireworks — Nerja's biggest festival in honour of San Miguel fills the centre with life and music.

Feria de Nerja is the town's biggest annual celebration, held in honour of its patron saint San Miguel. The festivities take place in October and turn the centre into one long party of flamenco, sevillanas, parade horses, casetas (festival tents) and spectacular fireworks above the Balcón de Europa.

The daytime programme revolves around the bullring, horse displays and a lively procession in which local associations show off traditional dress. In the evenings, Plaza de España and the Recinto Ferial fill with music ranging from classic sevillanas to modern reggaeton, while kiosks serve pescaíto, plato alpujarreño and ice-cold tinto de verano well into the small hours.

For visitors who want to experience Spanish feria culture, this is one of the best moments of the year. Hotels in the centre book up fast — consider Maro or out-of-town resorts if you are deciding last minute.

Good to know - Dress code: white shirts, flamenco dresses and light linen dominate. - Fireworks usually finish well after midnight — great viewpoints: Balcón de Europa and Playa Burriana. - Many restaurants in the centre offer special feria menus during the week.
